Communications Ministry tasks Agencies on revenue generation
The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has called on all revenue-generating agencies under the Ministry to look for ways to jack up the revenue of the government.
Towoju made the call during a meeting with agencies under the Ministry of Communications in the Ministry's conference room today.
"This government is working to ensure that all citizens are okay. We need to know what your Agency will do differently, moving forward. To whom much is given, much is expected. We are here to look at how to move the state forward. We want to hear your challenges and look for ways to move forward," Towoju said.
On his part, the General Manager of the Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, Alhaji Kayode Aremu, stated that in order to boost the revenue of the state, the creation of an Events Centre in the premises of the Station will also help in generating revenue for the government.
While speaking, the General Manager of the Kwara State Printing and Publishing Corporation, the publishers of the Herald Newspapers, Mr. Yomi Adeboye, said the Corporation was working on a mobile app and website to enhance the needed publicity for the newspaper and help with more patronage.
Also present at the meeting were the Director General of the Kwara State Signage and Advertising Agency (KWASAA) , Mr. Omotayo Olorunshola; Executive Director of the Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Adebisi Oyewole, and the General Manager of the Kwara State Hospitality and Tourism Development Board, Mrs. Bolaji Esther Onietan.
